Teenlytical is run by a group of creative teenagers who all share a love for learning and spreading their knowledge of the world. We also share a common goal: to inspire other teens with our content. The TL team is composed of bright-minded teenagers, and we are proud to be capable of so much as individuals and as a team.

News Content Team

General Writers:

  • Task: Write a variety of articles (research, opinion, observation, expository)
  • 1 article each month
  • Skills: confident in grammar and punctuation, critical thinking, logical writing flow
  • Keep in mind that we only post science- and politics-related content

General Artists:

  • Task: draw and design thumbnail images for news articles
  • Skills: adept at using digital art software, can incorporate symbolism in artwork and visualize abstract ideas, consistent with our style
  • Keep in mind that our art style is minimalistic, and mixes drawings and png

Magazine Content Team

Magazine Writers:

  • Task: Write articles for Teenlytical’s bi-annual magazine.
  • 4 articles every year (comparatively more relaxing than news content writers!)
  • Skills: writing short articles that have impact, critical thinking, logical writing flow
  • Your work will be published in our bi-annual magazine!

Magazine Editors

  • Task: Edit ~4 articles (grammar/tense/vocab check)
  • Skills: confident in grammar, tense, vocabulary. Good at summarization. Can make wise judgements. Understands Teenlytical’s mission, goals, and vision.
  • You will be editing whenever an magazine article is completed (in total, 8 articles over the course of ~2 months)

Magazine Page Designers

  • Task: organizing the layout of each page. Arranging drawings, paragraphs, charts, etc.
  • # of pages to layout will be split evenly amongst designers
  • You will be arranging the month following editing month (May is typically page designing month)

Magazine Artists:

  • Task: drawing little artworks and simple graphics to be added to the pages of the magazine
  • You will be drawing in June, before we publish!

The order: Writers -> Editors -> Page designers -> Artists -> Publication!

Other jobs

Animators

  • Task: create short animations (3-5min) that include effects, transitions
  • 1 video every 1 or 2 month
  • Skills: adept at using editing/animation software, can animate basic things (circles, text bubbles, people, fireworks)
  • Keep in mind that videos should all adopt a minimalistic style
